The Reconnaissance Architectural History Survey is targeted at getting certain properties built by C.H. onto the National Historic Registry.
Known for being a fair and honest man, Rev. Brown greatly impacted those in Albemarle County and surrounding areas with his work as an inspirational religious and community leader.
His efforts provided others with affordable housing, employment and training, and so much more.
This was the first non-residential building constructed by Rev. Brown, back in 1947.
C.H.'s son, Pastor Ralph Brown Sr, currently serves as lead pastor of the church. Due to it's enduring architecture and cultural significance within the community, the church has been added to the list of important historic city buildings in Charlottesville.
Two of C.H. Brown's children, Ralph and Angie, are continuing their father's work as members of Holy Temple Church by using their talents and gifts to better their community and for the glory of God.
Through music, community events, pastoring, toy drives, and outreach, C.H. Brown Christian Center is strengthening and uplifting the surrounding communities of Charlottesville, VA.
